Sinosend makes it straightforward to get large files — contracts, technical drawings, media packages, compliance documents — into the hands of the right people, fast. Every transfer gets its own shareable link, recipients can preview files instantly in the browser, and your connection dropping mid-upload is never a problem.

The 1 TB limit applies to a single transfer. There is no cap on total storage across your account on paid plans — check your plan details for specifics.

Create a new transfer

1

Open the New Transfer dialog

From your Sinosend dashboard, click New Transfer in the top-right corner. The upload panel slides open in the centre of the screen.
2

Add your files

Drag and drop files or entire folders onto the upload area, or click Browse files to open your system file picker. You can add as many files and folders as you need in one transfer — there is no per-file limit on count.
Folder structures are preserved. If you drop a folder called Q3-Invoices/, recipients see that same folder hierarchy when they access the transfer.
3

Add recipients

Type each recipient’s email address in the To field and press Enter or , to confirm. Repeat for each person. You can also skip this field and share the transfer link manually after sending.
4

Configure optional settings

Expand Options to access the following controls:
  • Password — enter a password recipients must type before viewing files.
  • Expiry date — pick a date from the calendar; the link deactivates automatically at midnight on that date.
  • Personal message — add a note that appears in the delivery email and on the download page.
  • Data residency — choose the region where your files are stored (see Data Residency for available regions).
5

Send

Click Send Transfer. Sinosend uploads your files, generates a unique link, and — if you added recipients — dispatches a branded delivery email to each address. The transfer appears in your dashboard immediately.

Upload behaviour

Drag-and-drop and folder uploads

You can drag files directly from your desktop, file manager, or another browser window. Drop a folder and Sinosend recursively uploads all its contents, keeping subdirectory structure intact.

Resume on connection drop

If your internet connection drops mid-upload, Sinosend automatically resumes from where it left off when connectivity is restored. You do not need to restart the upload or re-select files.
Resume works within the same browser session. If you close the browser tab before the upload completes, you will need to start a new transfer.

No throttling

Sinosend does not artificially cap your upload or download speed. Transfers run at the full speed your connection allows, with intelligent routing selecting the lowest-latency path between you, Sinosend’s infrastructure, and your recipient’s location.

How recipients experience your transfer

Zipless downloads

Recipients land on a clean download page showing every file individually — no ZIP archive to unpack. They can download all files at once or cherry-pick specific files without touching the others.

In-browser previews

The following file types render directly in the browser, with no download required:
CategorySupported formats
DocumentsPDF, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), PowerPoint (.pptx)
VideoMP4, MOV, WebM
ImagesPNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, SVG
Recipients click any supported file to open the previewer. They can still download the original if they prefer.
In-browser previews are particularly useful for sharing draft contracts or inspection reports — stakeholders can review and approve without downloading anything.

Security options

Password protection

When you set a password on a transfer, recipients see a password prompt before they can view or download any files. You can add, change, or remove the password after sending without generating a new link.

Expiry dates

Set an expiry date to automatically deactivate the transfer link on a specific day. Recipients who try to access the link after it expires see a polite expiry message. You can extend or shorten the expiry from the dashboard at any time.

Data residency

Select which geographic region Sinosend stores your files in at the time of sending. This is useful for regulatory compliance (for example, keeping EU customer data inside the EU). See Data Residency for the full list of available regions. You have two ways to share a transfer:
  • Email delivery — add recipient email addresses before clicking Send. Sinosend emails each recipient directly with the link, your personal message, and file details.
  • Direct link — leave the recipient field empty. After sending, copy the transfer link from your dashboard and share it however you like — via WhatsApp, Slack, your own email, or a QR code.
Both methods give you the same Delivery Intelligence tracking.
