Find quick answers to the questions Sinosend users ask most — covering everything from how the platform works and what’s included in the free plan, to sending files into China, tracking deliveries in real time, and keeping your documents secure.

General

Sinosend is a document delivery and file transfer platform built for global trade. It lets you send large files to recipients anywhere in the world — including mainland China — with real-time delivery tracking, geolocation intelligence, and enterprise-grade security.Unlike general-purpose cloud storage tools, Sinosend is purpose-built for sending: every transfer comes with a tracked delivery link, open notifications, and access controls you can manage after the file has left your hands.Notable customers include Hapag-Lloyd, H&M, Haier, Pizza Hut, Tata, and Ogilvy.

Each recipient gets their own tracked delivery link, so you can see exactly who opened the file and when.
Yes — and this is one of Sinosend’s core strengths. When creating a transfer, select either the APAC Hong Kong or Mainland China (Shanghai) data region to route your transfer through infrastructure optimised for Chinese networks.
If your recipient is inside mainland China, choose the Mainland China (Shanghai) region for the fastest download speeds. Hong Kong works well for recipients in Hong Kong and surrounding areas.
This routing bypasses the cross-border network congestion that typically causes timeouts and failures when sending large files into China using tools like WeTransfer or Dropbox.
Yes. When creating a transfer, enable the Password protection option and set a password. Recipients will be prompted to enter the password before they can view or download any files. Share the password with your recipient through a separate channel — for example, by phone or messaging app.
Yes. Sinosend’s Dynamic File Management lets you extend or adjust the expiry date of any transfer after it has been sent. Open the transfer from your dashboard, navigate to Expiry, and update the date. The recipient’s existing link will automatically reflect the new expiry — no need to resend.
Yes. You can replace a file in an existing transfer at any time. The recipient’s download link stays exactly the same — they’ll simply download the updated version next time they click it. This is useful for sending revised documents without having to contact recipients again.

Tracking & delivery

Yes. Sinosend sends you a real-time email notification the moment a recipient opens their delivery link. You can also monitor all activity from the dashboard — each transfer shows a full timeline of opens, downloads, and reminders for every recipient.
Yes. Sinosend’s delivery intelligence includes a geolocation map showing the approximate location from which each recipient accessed the file. This is available on all plans, including the free tier.
Geolocation is based on the recipient’s IP address at the time of access. Location accuracy varies by network type and country.
Sinosend automatically sends reminders to recipients who haven’t opened their transfer. You can also manually trigger a resend from the dashboard by opening the transfer, selecting the recipient, and choosing Resend notification. If the email address turns out to be wrong, you can update it and resend from the same screen.
Yes. To revoke a single recipient’s access without affecting others:
  1. Open the transfer from your dashboard
  2. Go to the Recipients tab
  3. Find the recipient and select Revoke
Their link is immediately invalidated. Other recipients’ links remain active.

Billing

Yes. Every paid plan comes with a 7-day free trial — no credit card required. You get full access to all features on the plan you choose. If you don’t upgrade before the trial ends, your account automatically reverts to the free tier.
Yes. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, then your account reverts to the free tier. You never lose access to files already sent — they remain in your dashboard on free plan limits.
Yes. The prices listed — Personal at 9/mo,Proat9/mo, Pro at 19/mo, and Business at $49/mo — reflect annual billing. You can also choose monthly billing at a slightly higher per-month rate. Annual billing is the best value if you use Sinosend regularly throughout the year.

Security

Sinosend protects your files at every stage:
  • At rest — files are encrypted using AES-256, the same standard used by financial institutions and governments worldwide
  • In transit — all transfers use TLS 1.2 or higher to prevent interception during upload and download
Access controls, password protection, and per-recipient revocation give you additional layers of security on top of encryption.
Yes. Sinosend is GDPR compliant. If you need to keep data within the European Union, select the EU data region when creating a transfer or in your account settings. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available on request — contact the support team at sinosend.com/support to request one.For full details, see the Sinosend Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
